BD+C editors invite you to attend our 6th Annual Under 40 Leadership Summit. This year’s event, in Chicago, will convene more than 100 current and past 40 Under 40 winners, and other young AEC superstars, for leadership training, professional development, and networking.

The Chicago Architecture Foundation offers great tours around the city: Art Deco Skyscrapers, City Segway Tours, "L" Train Tours, Historic Skyscrapers and more.

8. Enjoy a trolley tour of Chicago's rich history of structural steel buildings
Chicago is the birthplace of the steel-framed skyscraper (Rand McNally Building, 1911, Burnham and Root). The Thursday evening trolley tour will take U40 Summit attendees through the history of the Windy City's steel buildings.

BD+C editors will honor the 40 under 40, Class of 2016, during a Wednesday evening awards ceremony and networking reception. Find out what makes these young AEC superstars so special!

Lisa Picard kicks off the U40 Summit with an inspirational talk on her firm’s groundbreaking 2+U office tower in Seattle. Skanska is using the project as a testbed for new approaches to real estate development, including a Hackathon-based RFP process and virtual reality-based marketing.
